Yes you can. A generator, so that a current in a coil induces everything you need to do is a device in which the lines of flow of a magnetic field through the surface of the coil go (surface around which the wire packaging is made), and during the rotation is the induction to change. In other words, the river has changed by the coil when the permanent magnets (which alter the flow of creating) their position relative to the coil, as to turn them. So, if you mount the permanent magnet in such a way that they create a specific flow through the coil and then the changes as a flux, the permanent magnets together with the Rotating shaft, induces a changing flux through the coil, which is the current. Then you can connect an external circuit to the coil connected to and use of the energy you have created. A typical example is a simple permanent magnet electric motor. It can act as a generator, ie when you connect a voltmeter connected to its leads and turn the rotor with your fingers, the voltmeter will be some tension.
