Renewable energy. Why our government is not doing more to subsidize and promote the growth of the industry?
Set aside your preconceptions about global warming for a second. America's energy outgrown it's the ability to produce, "said Power. Every summer, electricity grids in the whole Country experienced brown-outs and closures keep running to energy networks. This can only be expected to increase as the population and the increased reliance on coal power. The Technology exists to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and increase it with renewable resources. Why not less money, provision of subsidies and tax breaks for oil and coal, and instead subsidize its work on renewable energy in the market. For example, investing in private companies to develop and sell solar technologies for businesses at a reduced rate. Or, give a tax credit for homeowners to invest in solar roofs and windmills on their property. Renewable energy can not be a substitute for conventional fuels, but there is a clear need for this growing industry and it seems like the government cares is not a question.
Well, the government through a lot of people with ties to the oil industry operates. You need to protect their own interests. Even the oil industry a lot of money, they can influence the views of people with ties to the oil industry, because they all need is to make re-elected.
